Raghuram (Ram) Natarajan was appointed as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Blueleaf Energy in July 2021.
Based in Singapore, Mr. Natarajan spearheads Blueleaf’s market expansion plans and execution strategy across Asia. Mr. Natarajan has two decades of senior leadership experience in sustainability, infrastructure, and climate related investments spanning from photovoltaics – PV solar, wind – onshore and offshore, biomass, and hydro power, to battery energy storage systems (BESS). His solid track record includes successfully developing more than 15 gigawatts (GW) of renewable energy and BESS projects and delivering more than 3 GW of projects into commercial operation and long-term asset management.
Prior to joining Blueleaf, Mr. Natarajan led the regional setup, growth and exit of two other global renewable energy businesses as APAC CEO for Juwi and Mainstream Renewable Power.
Mr. Natarajan holds a bachelor’s degree in biomedical sciences from the National University of Singapore and executive MBAs from Columbia Business School and London Business School.
Anand Prakash was appointed as Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of Blueleaf Energy in February 2023.
Based in Singapore, Mr. Prakash advances the growth and asset build out of the company. He leads origination, investment strategy, planning, financing and execution for Blueleaf, leveraging his over 25 years of leadership experience in investing in renewable energy, the power industry and the broader climate investing space, to further accelerate the company’s growth.
Mr. Prakash joined Blueleaf from Asian Century Advisors (ACA), where he was the Managing Director (MD), providing Senior Advisory services to marque private equity investors like Temasesk, EQT Private Equity, and Macquarie Capital building or scaling platforms to deploy capital in renewable energy, waste and water for other high climate impact companies across Asia. Prior to ACA, he served as the MD of Asia Climate Partners, a private equity fund launched by Asian Development Bank and ORIX Corporation based in Hong Kong, and of FE Clean Energy Group, one of the pioneering private equity investors in Asia’s clean energy space, targeting investments in renewable energy, climate finance and environmental industries.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from St. Stephen’s College in Delhi and a master’s in economics from the University of Cambridge, as well as a master’s in public administration and public policy from Cornell University.
Amiram Roth-Deblon was appointed as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Blueleaf Energy in February 2023.
Based in Singapore, Mr. Roth-Deblon heads Blueleaf’s operations from project development through to asset construction and management. Over the last 24 years, he has developed and built successful renewable energy businesses across Asia Pacific, Europe, and Africa, delivering more than 4 gigawatts (GW) of solar, wind, and battery projects.
Prior to joining Blueleaf, Mr. Roth-Deblon was a Director at the international project developer and EPC JUWI. Here he established JUWI’s presence in Asia Pacific from 2011 until 2023, building a leading business delivering hybrid power solutions globally to energy intensive industries.
He holds degrees in electrical engineering from University of Brighton (UK) and University of Applied Sciences Darmstadt (Germany).
Roy Tang was appointed as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Blueleaf Energy in September 2020.
Based in Singapore, Mr. Tang directs Blueleaf’s financial strategy overseeing capital allocation, risk management and financial reporting. Leveraging his 20 plus years of experience in banking and finance, he applies his deep understanding of debt capital markets, corporate finance and institutional sales to support Blueleaf’s sustainable growth trajectory.
Immediately prior to joining Blueleaf, Mr. Tang served as CFO at Asia Power Development Platform, a power infrastructure development company based in Singapore and Jakarta focused on development, construction and operation of power generation assets across Southeast Asia.
He is a Chartered Accountant of Australia and New Zealand, and holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce from the University of Sydney.
Pratyush Thakur was appointed as Investment Director & Country Head for Blueleaf Energy’s Indian operations, in September 2021.
Based in Bangalore, Mr. Thakur leverages his 18 years of experience building successful businesses in complex organizational and market conditions, to lead Blueleaf’s business in India. Well respected in the market, he is recognized as one of India’s top renewable energy leaders.
Prior to joining Blueleaf, Mr. Thakur led renewables development activities in India for Macquarie Capital and before that was Managing Director of Statkraft Solar Solutions, the solar arm of notable Norwegian renewable energy player Statkraft.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Delhi Technological University, MBA from IIT Delhi and has completed all three levels of the CFA program.
John Warren was appointed Country Head for Blueleaf Energy in Japan in May 2025.
Based in Tokyo, Mr. Warren leads the local team with a focus on spearheading growth in solar and BESS across Japan through greenfield projects as well as strategic M&A. A seasoned veteran of the Japanese renewables market, he brings over 11 years of experience operating across all aspects of renewable energy projects, from development and financing to management, along with a solid track record of building and managing successful teams.
Prior to joining Blueleaf, Mr. Warren served as Head of Business Development at Vena Energy Japan, where he successfully led multidisciplinary teams focused on greenfield project development. His responsibilities included the entire spectrum of project creation, from initial identification and land negotiation to offtake contracting.
He holds dual Master of Science and Engineering degrees from the University of Trier in Germany and Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University in Japan, as well as a Bachelor’s degree from the University of British Columbia in Canada.
Julie Chang joined Blueleaf in March 2023 and was appointed as Acting Country Head for Blueleaf Energy Taiwan in November 2025.
Based in Taipei, Ms. Chang leads the local team to transform the business through strategic M&A and to cope with dynamic environment via agile solution. It’s her vision to grow Blueleaf Taiwan’s presence in the market with a goal to make the company an independent power producer (IPP).
Ms. Chang has over 10 years experience as an investment profession across diverse sectors including renewables, real estate, banking, insurance, healthcare, and waste management. Prior to joining Blueleaf, she managed deals with an aggregate size of US$100m+ in her previous position with PwC Advisory and Bowrington Capital.
She holds a Master’s degree in Financial Management from the Edinburgh University in UK as well as a Bachelor’s degree in bioindustry development and communication from the National Taiwan University in Taiwan.
Johnson Varghese was appointed as Director of Projects for Blueleaf Energy in April 2021.
Based in India, Mr. Varghese is responsible for leading the development of renewable energy projects and providing expert insights into technical and commercial wind opportunities across Blueleaf Energy’s pan-Asian footprint.
Mr. Varghese has been working in the renewable energy sector for over 26 years. In his last appointment before joining Blueleaf, Mr. Varghese served as Executive Vice President (EVP) of New Business Development at Siemens Gamesa in India, where he undertook a rationalization of Siemens Gamesa’s wind and solar development portfolio during the restructuring review of that business. Prior to that, he enjoyed stints in senior management with Sembcorp Singapore (VP Project Development), Vestas (Director Global Development), Kshema Power (COO), at SunEdison (MD Wind and Solar Operations), and spent 14 years with Vestas, heading operations and maintenance, technical support, development and construction of wind projects across India.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Bangalore University and is a chartered electrical MIE from the Institution of Engineers of India in Kolkata. Mr. Varghese has also completed an MBA from Liverpool John Moores University and a post-graduate program in strategy and leadership from the Institute of Management Technology in Ghaziabad.
Sadi Tanmanatragul was appointed as Head of Legal for Blueleaf Energy in July 2023.
Based in Singapore, Ms. Tanmanatragul leads Blueleaf’s legal team and is responsible for providing guidance on corporate governance, negotiating and drafting contracts, risk management, and the development of legal plans and policies. Ms. Tanmanatragul is a UK qualified lawyer with nearly two decades of experience in project financing and M&A transactions. She specializes in renewable energy and infrastructure, with pan-Asian experience gained from working on projects based in India, Taiwan, Malaysia and beyond.
Prior to joining Blueleaf, Ms. Tanmanatragul spent close to 20 years with Allen & Overy, working various stints in London, Bangkok and Singapore. During that time, she was involved in notable and award-winning transactions advising on the sponsor and lenders side. This includes advising Orsted on offshore wind projects in Taiwan (Greater Changhua 1), Pengerang Terminal II in Malaysia and Softbank Group’s financing of multiple projects in India, to name a few.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and government, a postgraduate diploma in law, and has completed a legal practice course (LPC).
Shu-jia Ma was appointed Head of Strategy & Portfolio for Blueleaf Energy in October 2025.
Based in Singapore, Ms. Ma leads corporate strategy, portfolio optimization, and long-term value creation across the company’s clean energy assets. Shu-jia joins Blueleaf with nearly two decades of experience in clean energy sectors, she has led and structured transactions across renewable energy markets in Asia Pacific and North America, working closely with investors, developers and offtakers to deliver large-scale clean energy projects.
Prior to joining Blueleaf, she was the Head of Business Development for Rest of the World Markets at Gentari Hydrogen, and previously held leadership roles overseeing business development, M&A, and structured finance for major clean energy platforms and renewable energy IPPs across Singapore, the US, and Hong Kong.
Shu-jia holds Master’s degrees in international economics (University of California San Diego, US) and political economy (Ruhr University Bochum, Germany).
Des Yeo was appointed as Head of Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ) for Blueleaf Energy in November 2019.
Based in Singapore, Mr. Yeo helms Blueleaf’s HSEQ and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives across Asia. Championing a culture of safety, sustainability, social responsibility, and commitment to quality, his dedicated team of HSEQ professionals and Community Relations Managers work together to safeguard employee well-being, minimize environmental impact, advance responsible business practices and promote the highest quality standards in project execution.
Mr. Yeo has more than a decade of extensive HSEQ experience in both green and brownfield projects across a range of sectors, including oil and gas, petrochemical, power generation, civil and building construction. During his career, he has built a proven track record of developing and implementing comprehensive safety programs that integrate best practices throughout business strategies with a focus on proactive risk management that engages both employees and communities to foster trust.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in environmental and occupational health and safety from the University of Newcastle.
Alfredo Jakub was appointed as Head of Engineering and Technology for Blueleaf Energy in November 2024.
Based in Singapore, he leads Blueleaf’s engineering team across Asia. Alfredo is primarily responsible for ensuring the team is adopting industry best practices for design and technology selection within the competitive market environment of Asia.
He is well versed in technical aspects of the development lifecycle, such as market screening, origination, due diligence, project financing, construction, asset management, and divestment, with a proven track record as a technical lead in numerous successful projects. During his career he has contributed to over 10GW of such projects across Asia, working in various capacities, including developer (Lightsource BP), engineering consultant (RINA, DNV), and EPC contractor (Phoenix Solar, Solargy).
Alfredo holds an MBA (University of Birmingham), Bachelor of Engineering (National University of Singapore), and is a certified PMP® (Project Management Institute).
Grace Foo was appointed as Head of Human Resources (HR) for Blueleaf Energy in October 2024.
Based in Singapore, Grace leads Blueleaf’s talent acquisition and people strategy, fostering a collaborative and purpose-driven culture. Grace has over 18 years of experience in operational and strategic HR, building high-performing teams across Asia Pacific and is passionate about attracting top talent who share Blueleaf’s commitment to driving positive environmental change to the company.
Prior to joining Blueleaf, Grace led the HR regional setup for juwi and Mainstream Renewable Power which under her leadership established a culture where employees felt valued, empowered, and united in making the world a more sustainable place for future generations.
Grace holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the National University of Singapore.
Lindsay Ward was appointed Chair of Blueleaf Energy in April 2024.
Lindsay has more than 35 years’ experience in the renewables, power generation, data centre, funds management, logistics and resources industries, in both senior executive and non-executive director roles.
Lindsay is currently Chair of the Port of Portland and is a Non-Executive Director of ASX listed Qube Holdings. He has worked in senior executive roles including CEO, Managing Director and General Manager with companies including Iris Energy, Palisade Investment Partners, Asciano, Toll Holdings and BHP.
Lindsay holds a Bachelor of Applied Science and a Graduate Diploma in Business Management. He is also a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Based in Singapore, Edward has been a director for Blueleaf Energy’s since 2018. With over 16 years’ experience as an investment professional working across APAC, his expertise spans M&A, origination, investment, and asset management with a focus on renewable and energy transition investments. In addition to serving as a director on the Blueleaf Energy board, Edward has over a decade of experience representing Macquarie on other portfolio company boards.
Vineet Mohan joined Blueleaf Energy’s board of directors in 2021.
Based in Singapore, Mr. Mohan provides technical and operational guidance to Blueleaf Energy. He has over 20 years of experience working across the value chain in power, having served in executive roles at independent power producers (IPPs), original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), and engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) companies. Notably, Mr. Mohan is currently the Managing Director and Global Head of Engineering & Asset Operations for Macquarie’s Green Investments and has previously held leadership roles with AES and General Electric (GE). He also presently serves on many green investment portfolio company boards and has sat on numerous boards at energy companies throughout his career.
Oliver Lewis joined Blueleaf Energy’s board of directors in 2019.
Based in Sydney, Mr. Lewis has nearly 20 years experience in the global finance industry. With senior executive and non-executive appointments in Australia, the UK, the US, and Singapore, he has cultivated deep expertise in investment, risk management, infrastructure, and green energy. In addition to serving as the Investment Committee Chair and a Non-executive Director on the Blueleaf Energy board, Mr. Lewis also serves as a Non-executive Director for a number of Macquarie Group companies.
Edward Northam joined Blueleaf Energy’s board of directors in 2022.
Based in Singapore, Mr. Northam has been involved in the global renewable energy industry for over 25 years. He has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, investment, fundraising, project development, and general management in the clean energy infrastructure sector.
Notably, Mr. Northam has previously served as Head of Investment Banking for the UK’s Green Investment Bank and Head of UK and Europe for Macquarie Asset Management (MAM) Green Investments. He is currently the Head of Core Renewables and Head of Asia Pacific for MAM Green Investments.
Tobias Kullack was appointed Project Director in February 2021.
Tobias is experienced in the development and implementation of solar, hybrid and wind projects, spending the last years helping project management teams to grow and successfully implement and operate several renewable energy projects across the Asia Pacific Region. His major achievements have been the development and implementation of several large-scale power plants in the Philippines, Thailand and Malaysia.
As the Project Director, Tobias will lead the in-house Blueleaf Energy project delivery team and contribute to the development of projects, both C&I and utility scale, and lead the team for successful project implementation.
James Thomas joined Blueleaf Energy as Technical Director in February 2021 with the overall responsibility for engineering, construction and supply chain across Asia. With a career with large and well known companies around the globe, James is a Chartered Engineer, Member of Institution of Mechanical Engineers and holds a Master of Science in Project Management. James has led major projects as well as large engineering and construction teams in nuclear, gas turbine, thermal and solar power generation sectors, as well as providing services as founder of his own consulting business. He has worked on projects and developments in UK, China, Philippines, Japan, Korea, Indonesia, Vietnam, Taiwan, Thailand and others. Reporting to the CEO, James will lead all technical activity for Blueleaf Energy across Asia.
Steffen Hesche was appointed as VP Asset Management when Blueleaf Energy launched in 2019.
Prior to this, Steffen was Head of the Conergy business unit “Operations and Maintenance” and Managing Director for Conergy India.
Steffen has over 20 years of experience in various management positions in the solar, semiconductor, glass and pharmaceutical industry.
Le Huy Thanh is the Chairman of Blueleaf Energy Vietnam. Le Huy Thanh has over 25 years of experience working in the oil and gas industry in various fields in all aspects of upstream, midstream and downstream including sales, marketing, operation of LPG plant, commercial, business development, public and government affairs, representative office.
Prior to joining Blueleaf Energy, Thanh was the Public and Government Affairs Manager and Chief Representative of ExxonMobil in Vietnam. Other positions he has held include Chief Representative of the British Petroleum Company (BP) in Vietnam, Commercial Manager for BP’s New Projects in the country.
Arnaud Ayral is the Corporate Solutions Director of Blueleaf Energy and based in Singapore.
Arnaud leads the company’s growth in renewable energy solutions aimed at corporate customers, leveraging the strong track record and capabilities of the Group in solar PV, wind and energy storage.
Arnaud previously was Business Development Director at Cleantech Solar, the Keppel-owned solar PV developer where he helped build in South-East Asia a strong track record for the company of commercial and industrial projects across the region. Prior to that, he worked in Australia, UK, the Netherlands and the Middle-East where he held various positions with Rolls-Royce plc, including most recently that of Senior Vice-President of the Marine Services division in Asia Pacific.
Arnaud had previously also worked at Electricite de France (EDF). Arnaud holds a B&A Master’s degree from Normandy Business School and most recently attended the Tuck 2030 Leadership programme at Dartmouth College.
