As of 31 May 2026, Blueleaf Energy had 37 solar projects, totaling nearly 1.3 GWp of installed capacity, in various stages of development in Japan. (Several of these projects are hybrid with a BESS component.)

Blueleaf Energy has been operating in Japan since 2021, navigating the nation’s maturing renewable energy market.

Japan’s government is committed to achieving carbon neutrality by 2050. Coupled with the fact that Japan has the second-highest number of RE100 members after the United States, this creates strong demand for corporate power purchase agreements (CPPAs), battery energy storage systems (BESS), and hybrid solar and BESS solutions.
