Blueleaf Energy Announces Strategic Appointments

Blueleaf Energy announces the appointments of two senior leaders in the company’s legal and projects teams.

Jun Yong, General Counsel

Effective 17 August 2026, Jun Yong has taken up the lead of Blueleaf Energy’s legal function across Asia. Based in their headquarters in Singapore, Yun will be overseeing the company’s corporate governance, risk management, and strategic legal frameworks.

Yun brings over a decade of specialized expertise advising on complex, cross-border renewable energy and infrastructure projects across the Asia-Pacific region. His background includes advising on complex, cross-border projects across the full project lifecycle, spanning M&A and due diligence to financing, development, commissioning and operations. Yun brings robust experience from an extensive career with elite international law firms, where he played leading roles supporting developers and investors on the equity investment, development and financing of renewable energy and infrastructure projects across Asia.

Tom Walsh, Head of Projects (Japan)

Effective 21 July 2026, Tom Walsh helms Blueleaf Energy’s Projects team in Japan, supporting the continued growth, execution, and delivery of the company’s expanding clean energy portfolio there.

Tom brings over 15 years of experience in the renewable energy sector, having held senior leadership and project development roles across Japan, APAC, and Europe. Prior to joining Blueleaf Energy, Tom served as Head of Offshore Development and Country Manager at RWE Japan, where he led the development of the offshore wind portfolio and oversaw a multidisciplinary team supporting project delivery. His extensive career also includes positions with Shizen Energy, SIMEC Atlantis Energy, and Ørsted, giving him a robust, well-rounded perspective across both developer and investor environments.

As Blueleaf Energy continues to scale its regional footprint through greenfield and brownfield developments, strategic M&A, and innovative clean energy partnerships, the deep industry acumen and commercial expertise of both Jun and Tom will be instrumental in supporting the company’s next phase of growth.
