Today is World Day for Safety and Health at Work – a day we at Blueleaf Energy simply call World Safety Day. The International Labour Organization (ILO) established World Safety Day in 2003 to promote the global prevention of occupational accidents and diseases and every April 28th, we take the opportunity to celebrate our collective safety culture, because at Blueleaf Energy, we build safety together. As we take stock of our progress and priorities, we also explore how we can strengthen our commitments that create a safe and thriving environment for all at Blueleaf.
“We Build Safety Together”
Our 2025 World Safety Day Campaign theme is “We Build Safety Together.” This theme embodies our enduring belief that a strong safety culture is built on the collective responsibility of every individual – not just our dedicated workplace health and safety department. It takes each and every one of us to contribute to and uphold our shared commitment to well-being to make it work.
The International Labour Organization (ILO) also sets its own theme each year. This year ILO’s theme focuses on the global conversation around the role of digital technology in workplace safety, “Revolutionizing health and safety: The role of AI and digitalization at work.” To bring this intersection of global trends and our local commitment to life, we’re excited to present the perspectives of our Blueleaf Energy World Safety Day Ambassadors, starting with our Head of IT.
