Shashikant Yadav, our Manager of PV Solar Engineering, recently contributed his expert analysis to an article published in PV Magazine India.

The article, titled “Why India’s solar surge needs a better construction discipline,” delves into the critical causes and potential solutions for the persistent construction and execution bottlenecks threatening the nation’s large-scale solar projects.

Shashikant highlights major issues, including:

  • Land uncertainty
  • Inadequate early-stage design
  • Weak project management
  • Unskilled manpower and safety risks
  • Complex regulatory challenges and weather events

He concludes by laying out a path forward, emphasizing the need for disciplined construction, modernized project management, synching grid infrastructure, and greater collaboration. This disciplined approach is essential for a smoother, more stable solar development path toward India’s ambitious 2030 twin goals of reaching 500 GW of non-fossil fuel-based electricity capacity and ensuring 50% of installed power capacity comes from non-fossil fuels.
