Conergy has built for B.Grimm Power Limited, one of Thailand’s foremost energy producers, a solar power plant in Sa Kaeo province in support of the government’s mission to have 20% of the country’s energy needs supplied by renewable sources by 2036.
The 176,000 sqm solar park is one of numerous installations developed by Conergy in partnership with private domestic power producers to exploit the natural sunlight available and help create a sustainable renewable energy supply that will contribute to the Kingdom’s future economic growth and also reduce the use of fossil fuels. The radical reduction of CO2 emissions created in fossil-fuel electricity generation is a guiding ambition.
“With abundant year-round sunshine and also the availability of highly suitable sites for solar power plants, Thailand is leading the way in ASEAN in terms of increasing its capacity to produce energy from renewable sources,” said Conergy’s CEO, Alexander Lenz.
