Conergy, one of the world’s leading PV solution and service providers connected to the grid this past January 2015 the RASLAG 10MWp solar power plant, its second major contract in the Philippines. 

The plant was built 50 kilometres from the capital Manila, on the country’s biggest island of Luzon, for RASLAG Corp., the renewable energy arm of generation company Angeles Power, Inc. (API). 

The RASLAG Solar Power Plant now supplies over 11,800 megawatt hours of solar power per year, enough electricity for 4,800 households and now saves 7,245 tons of CO2 emissions per year. This ground-mounted, free field installation facility lies on a 99,400 square meter area and uses close to 31,000 Conergy P-series 260 Polycrystalline modules and four central inverters. Encouraged by the progressive Philippine government incentives to invest in and utilize solar power, the RASLAG solar plant has qualified for FIT eligibility under the Philippine Solar PV tariff scheme. 

RASLAG Corp. President & General Manager Peter G. Nepomuceno shares, “We are looking at leveraging proven alternative energy technologies that can eliminate power shortage not just in Luzon, but also in other parts of the Philippines.
